Energize: God desires us to experience what God is doing. It is through the ministry of Rise Up that we want to energize believers to experience the power of God in their lives.

Educate: Education is a key ingredient in being an effective servant for God. It is vital that we learn all we can about the cultures in which we will be serving. It is also important that we understand the importance of team ministry. By serving together God uses the many differing gifts on a mission team for his glory.

Equip: On the mission field there are many avenues for service. It is important that each team member be prepared to serve in various capacities on the mission field. As we determine the specific ministries in which we will be involved in on the field we will work to prepare those each team member with what they need to best represent Christ.

Expose: There is no better way to experience what God is doing on the mission field than to go and experience missions first hand. By experiencing missions first hand we are able to see God working in another country and also see God use us in the lives of others.

Robert Nix is the pastor of Hilltop Bible Church in Crestwood, Illinois. Previously he had pastoral ministries in Minneapolis, Minnesota and Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Robert is a graduate of the theology program at Grace Bible College and earned a Masters of Divinity from Moody Graduate School.
