Operation Brazil 2007 Information

The Christian life is the faith life and God desires that we live each and every day by faith, submitting to His will. This means we are willing to step out of our comfort zones and go wherever God leads. It has been my experience that those who sense God's leading and respond are never disappointed. I want to personally share with you a wonderful opportunity where you could be used of God to make a difference in a global way. I want to challenge you to prayerfully consider stepping out of your comfort zone and allow God to use you for His glory in ways you would never have imagined.

where are we going?

Recife, Brazil is the fourth largest city in Brazil. Recife is situated on the Atlantic coast and has a population of approximately 3 million people. While in Recife we will be working with churches in different areas of the city within differing socioeconomic structures.

when are we going?

July 17-31 2007 - We will be flying out of Chicago.
All team members will be required to arrive in Chicago two days early for training and orientation.(Note the days of our departure are subject to be moved up or down one or two days. This gives us the ability to seek out the best price on air fare.)

what will we be doing?

While in Recife we will be working with several dedicated missionaries, under the field leadership of Doug Lefeber of Things to Come Missions. Our ministry will be to assist the missionaries and local churches in various ministries as well as help them in numerous work projects including:

Light Construction
Children's Ministry
Women's Ministry
Drama, Puppets
Music
Audio and Video
Preaching
Teaching
Sharing Devotions
Sharing of Testimonies

who can apply?

Anyone over the age of 18. All those under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or an adult of the parents choosing. In either case applications must be filled out and approved.

cost of missions project?

The cost of this mission project is $1,700.00. This includes airfare, food, lodging, transportation, ministry and administration costs.(Note: Spending money, passport, and visa are not covered in this cost.)

what do i do next?

· Seek out a strong spiritual friend or a church leader to pray with you and for you as you consider this project.
